NATURE AND FAITH
FIND HERE

The proximity to Santa Catarina and the German immigration are strong marks of Rio Negro. Located in the southeast of Paraná, the municipality is on the border with the city of Santa Catarina, demarcating the border between the two states.

First to receive Germanic peoples in Paraná, the municipality is the only one in Brazil to have a colony of German immigrants from Bucovino - coming from a region located between Ukraine and Romania. The city owes much of its growth to these people. With their help, Rio Negro generates wealth with cultivation and processing of tobacco and wood, strong industries and dairy farming.

A place where frost is frequent, Rio Negro has hospitable people and many tourist attractions. It is an excellent option for those who come or are already in Paraná.

Metal Bridge Doctor Diniz Assis Hening

Standing on the river Negro, the Metal Bridge Doctor Diniz Assis Hening is surrounded by legends. The 110 meters of the structure, which accompany the river from margin to margin, would have been the result of a miscalculation. According to experts, the measure would need to be larger to facilitate navigation and reduce the risk of flooding. Another version says that the failure occurred in the dispatch of the factory, which would have sent to the city another bridge, not that commissioned. The work was registered as State Patrimony of Paraná and Santa Catarina.
