THE CITY OF THE DIAMOND
AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL
Tibagi is located in the interior of the Campos Gerais, has 20,436 inhabitants, according to estimates by the IBGE of 2018. There are more than 3,000 km² of native forests, natural beauties and a lot of emotion. The mining gave the title of Diamond City, due to the great wealth coming from the waters of the Tibagi River. The city is part of the Route of the Tropeiros, along with other 15 municipalities. There, they carried goods on the mules and donkeys, originating the typical gastronomy that is the meat paçoca.
Currently, the main bases of the city's economy are agriculture and tourism, great generators of income and employment for the majority of the population. The municipality still holds the title of the largest wheat producer in Brazil.
The main tourist stand out of this enchanting city are: Guartelá State Park, the sixth largest canyon in the world's extension and unique with native vegetation, the Santa Rosa and Puxa Nervos and the Carnival, the time of year that the city is full.
WHAT TO DO
Rafting on the rapids of the Tibagi River is a stand out for those who like excitement and adrenaline. The municipality still has trails and waterfalls.
Tibagi has several farms which offer colonial coffee and food from the Route of the Tropeiros. Rural hostels are also options for those who want to escape the rush of everyday life and enjoy the best direct contact with nature.
The city stands out for its religious events, in addition to the faith and devotion of the community, the main religious attractions are the Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Mother Church, St. John of Mary's Eye, Santa Pastorina Chapel and Bom Jesus Chapel.
To visit Tibagi, a great deal of disposition is required because in order to explore all this magic, it will be at least three days of adventure, adrenaline and emotion, in direct contact with nature.
Tibagi has an extensive calendar of events beginning with the centennial Carnival, the best of Campos Gerais, with a structure to attend thousands of visitors, tourists and revelers.
With an approximate distance of 12 kilometers, the International Walk in Nature, a traditional event in the city, goes through the Santa Rosa and Puxa Nervos jumps with an exuberant view of nature.
The International Pedal in Nature has a journey of 42 kilometers, passing through tourist attractions and natural beauties.

The site is an ecotourism and rural tourism complex with several leisure options including hiking trails, horseback riding, waterfalls and the amazing view of the Ponte de Pedra Waterfall and the Guartelá Canyon. It is located 21 km from the center of Tibagi.
The ecological place is on BR-376, 31 km from Tibagi. The space has exotic and domestic animals, as well as trails, horseback riding and a cart ride.
Located in the heart of Tibagi, the Historic Center has several attractions, including churches, squares, lookout and several old buildings that are part of the history of the municipality. Everything is close to each other and within easy reach.
The historic Mercer Junior Historical Museum, known as the Garimpo Museum, is a historic building that depicts the diamond cycle and the history of Tibagi. It is one of the most complete collections of Paraná. For now, it is closed for renovation.
Lake, playground, hiking trails and Casa do Colono form the Parque Risseti. In the place, the customs of European immigrants and activities of the tropeiros are preserved. There is also the bedroom of the terror (formerly the adults frightened the most chivalrous children by saying that they would leave them in the room full of witches and monsters).
HOW TO ARRIVE
Tibagi is 198 km from Curitiba, and has access by BR-376, PR-340, BR-153 or Transbrasiliana Highway.
WHERE TO STAY
Tibagi has several options of lodging, being it can be rural, urban or camping, of category simple or luxurious, for all tastes and pockets.
Tropeirismo, when passing by the region, left in Tibagi the memory of the paçoca of meat. It is made with shredded meat and seasonings punched in the pestle with flour. This meal served the tropeiros who took the food on their way.
The traditional dumpling, popularly known as dumpling "Dianssim" is quite consumed in Tibagi. It has a salty and crunchy touch.
The meat in the tacho, winning dish of gastronomy competitions, wins lovers with its diverse ingredients and delicious flavor.
