CULTURAL HERITAGE

Laranjeiras do Sul is located in the Center-West of Paraná, 360 km from Curitiba. The name of the municipality comes from the word kaingangue, Nerinhê which means orange. The complement of the South was added to differentiate the locality from other existing ones with the same name.

With 32,379 inhabitants, according to IBGE, the municipality has great protection of cultural heritage. The main sources are important for the evolution and diversification of the tourist offer. The city has several attractions that are worth knowing.

WHAT TO DO

FUN AND LEISURE

The water park Lago Alcindo Natel de Camargo is a natural river planned in the San Francisco neighborhood. It has sand, basketball and futsal courts, observatory, hiking trail and playground.
 

FISH & PAY

The leisure option is on the banks of the BR-158, in Fishing on the Island, with fish and forest pay. The place still offers portions of fish and feijoada on Saturdays. It is a meeting place for friends at weekends.
 

WATERFALL

The Tigre River Waterfall is the highest of the many waterfalls in the municipality. It does not have large volume of water, allowing the tourist not to be local, besides being suitable for a rappel practice. There are trails, river crossings, lush nature and more!

TIPS

RAILROAD TUNNEL, OVERPASS AND VIADUCT
Located in the railroad which connects the West of Paraná to the Port of Paranaguá, the Ferroeste cuts Laranjeiras do Sul in the community of Colonia União and Passo Liso. The view is of the great structure of the viaduct and the tunnel, which is more than 400 meters in length.

MORRO DAS TORRES
One of the highest points in the region, the place offers a view of the whole city and, with the help of equipment, it is possible to see several municipalities of the region. Morro das Torres is also suitable for paragliding and rappelling flights.

Toca do Leão

Area of leisure and recreation for the whole family. Located near the Rio Leão, the space counts on an excellent infrastructure. It has a pesque-pague, chalets, woods, volleyball court and swimming pools.

 

 

House of Memory and Culture Federal Territory of Iguassu

Heritage listed in 1988. The architecture and originality of the work, which is part of the history of Laranjeiras do Sul, is preserved on the local. Inside, furniture and objects date back to the 1940s, when the house served as the official residence of the secretary general, Major Raul Gomes Pereira do Nascimento.

 

 

Lind’Água

The infrastructure of the place counts on dishes, fish, swimming pool, forest and restaurants with varieties of dishes. Covered area for rest, events, besides preservation of the environment with the ecological trail which allows the contact with nature, circulating between native trees and wild animals.

To reach Laranjeiras do Sul, access roads are BR-277, BR-158 and PR-565. The city is between Guarapuava and Cascavel.
