Primeiro de Maio is surrounded by the waters of the Capivara dam. The city has a resident population of 11 thousand inhabitants, but on weekends this number practically doubles due to the more than 1,3 thousand leisure houses, condominiums and fishing grounds that offer the whole structure for visitors to practice water sports and in the dam.
With a friendly and hospitable population and a land blessed by nature, surrounded by the rivers Paranapanema and Tibagi, Primeiro de Maio is open arms to welcome tourists.

RECREATION
The tourist terminal and the holiday farms are great attractions for visitors, who take advantage of their structures around the dam to spend the weekends with family and friends.

Primeiro de Maio has many celebrations throughout the year, with an agenda filled with fun! In April, there is the Festa do Porco a Pururuca à Moda Paraguaia. In May, the city's birthday celebration party. There is the Festa da Costela de Chão in September, and also the Party of the patron saint of the city, which takes place in October.

Primeiro de Maio is 460km from Curitiba and 65km from Londrina. The road to the city is via highway PR-437.
