The municipality of Iguaçu Reserve is on the banks of the Iguaçu River, in the center-south of Paraná. At the beginning of its settlement, it was a landing place for the tropeiros who traveled from the south of the country to the state of São Paulo.
With a current population of approximately 8 thousand people, the Reserva do Iguaçu has fishing and navigation as well as nautical tours in the vicinity of the Usina de Segredo. Another attraction of the city is the visitation to the beautiful waterfalls that fall in the Rio Iguaçu.

With a great beauty, the Sanctuary Passo da Reserva is a must see in Reserva do Iguaçu, especially for mysticism and religiousness, especially the chapel, built at the end of the 19th century.
HISTORY AND CULTURE
The Iguaçu Regional Museum is a space that tells the story of the Rio Iguaçu. Located in Vila Copel, the place is in the middle of a forest garden and it has already been visited by more than 300 thousand people.

Alagado
The Alagado de Segredo was formed due to the construction of the Usina de Segredo. It is very frequented by tourists and locals who use the place to practice nautical fishing, boating and jet skiing. It is a great leisure option.
Cachoeira do Passo da Reserva
Located on the banks of the PR-459 highway, the Cachoeira do Passo da Reserva is a natural attraction with easy access. There, you can spend a pleasant day in the middle of nature. The place has infrastructure, with tables and grills for the visitor to make their own barbecue.
Horto Florestal da Vila Copel
At the local, native and exotic species of flowers rescued from the Rio Iguaçu are preserved and reproduced, as well as nurseries. It also houses three small lakes with colorful carp and tilapia, as well as several hiking trails.
HOW TO ARRIVE
The city is located 350 km from Curitiba and 100 km from Guarapuava, with access by highway BR-277.

Reserva do Iguaçu has three good quality hotels, two in the urban area and one in the Copel Village.
GASTRONOMY
The city does not have typical dishes. Culturally are used dishes related to the tropeirismo, which are based on: corn (Quirera with pork ribs, polenta with chicken), cassava, pork in the can and the preference is for the virado de feijão.
