Strategically located, São José dos Pinhais is cut by three highways, which connect the South to the whole country. In the municipality, the main car manufacturers are installed, which makes it one of the main automotive hubs in South America, including exporting cars.
One of the largest producers of fruit and vegetables in Paraná, the city is in constant development. In its more than 300 years of history, the municipality is one of the most important for the economy of the region of Curitiba and Paraná, in the cultural preservation of the history of colonization of the State and environmental, with more than 80% of its rural area and of Atlantic forest.

It also has the Sensations Garden, which aims to sharpen the smell, taste, touch, hearing and vision of the tourist by touching plants of different shapes, textures and aromas, or the sound of birds and wind.

CASA DO PAPAI NOEL (SANTA'S HOUSE)
At Christmas time, Santa's House attracts a lot of people. For 20 years, Parque da Fonte has been decorated for visitors to experience Christmas magic, with musical shows, cultural presentations and a food court. You also have the option to visit the good old man's house and leave his letter with the requests and thanks.
EVENTS
The municipality has the calendar filled with parties and events. In addition to the traditional Feast of the Patron of São José dos Pinhais, there are also events such as the Harvest Festival, Strawberry, Wheat, Wine, Banana, Festival of Handcrafted Beer, in which all municipal breweries participate, the March for Jesus, a religious event to proclaim blessings to the city.

Historic and Cultural Center
São José dos Pinhais mixes the architecture of the settlers and contemporary art. Thousands of people circulate daily on the sidewalk of XV de Novembro Street, where the Igreja Matriz de São José dos Pinhais is. In addition to the historical building of the Scharffenberg Municipal Library of Quadros, there is the Atílio Rocco Museum which has a collection of more than 10 thousand items and the Historic and Cultural Center João Senegaglia, which goes through revitalization to maintain the characteristics of the era in which the first factory of the municipality.
Built in 1966, the water tower of São José dos Pinhais, in Getúlio Vargas Square, was listed by Historical and Cultural Patrimony in 2018. With 27.5 meters of height and capacity for 100m³, the water tank was the first reservoir built of prestressed concrete from Brazil. The operation of the water tank was a symbol of the 3rd Congress of Sanitary Engineering in Paraná.

Cultural activities are synonymous with a city that preserves its roots and invests in the knowledge of its citizens. In the House of Polish Culture, in the Murici Colony, objects of the colonizing families are exhibited.

The Wine Path is one of the main rural attractions of São José dos Pinhais. There, it is possible to try the wines, the Italian cuisine in typical restaurants and colonial cafes. It is an experience full of flavors and cultural knowledge about the origin of the municipality.
Afonso Pena International Airport
With more than 70 years in operation, São José dos Pinhais airport is one of the largest in Brazil. Built in the 1940s, in World War II, Afonso Pena was once considered the best national airport, where more than 5 million passengers pass annually. There, many visitors stop to watch the landings and takeoffs of the planes.
HOW TO ARRIVE
With a privileged location, São José dos Pinhais is 15 kilometers from downtown Curitiba. It is also close to the coast of Paraná and connects with the country along the highways that cut through the city through BR-116, BR-277 and BR-376.
