São Pedro do Paraná is located in the northwest region of the state, bounded by the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Bathed by 18 km Paraná River waters, of exuberant nature and crystalline waters, the city had its political emancipation celebrated on the 30th of December 1964.
The banks of the Paraná River harbor the District of Porto San José, a true Paradise, suitable for bathing, fishing, diving and many other water sports. For those who are looking for leisure and tranquility, it is certainly an incredible destination to go with family or friends.

BEACHES
There are lots of freshwater beaches. Porto São José is the perfect place to take a walk with family and friends. There, besides bathing in the crystalline waters of the Paraná River, there are nautical sports of the most varied, dives and much more! They still have the Mineira Island Beach, Santa Rosa Beach and the Guadalupe Island Beach to enjoy the grandeur of all the beauty of nature there.
FISHING AND DIVING
The Fundão, as its name suggests, is one of the deepest places on the Parana River, excellent for fishing or diving, with a great diversity and quantity of shoals of the most varied species of fish. The site concentrates fishermen and divers from all over Brazil.

JAÚ FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP
Every year, at the beginning of August, the event brings together fishermen from all over Brazil, seeking to catch this species of catfish, which is a giant of the Paraná River.
PARTY OF THE PATRON
Always occurring at the end of June, the Festival in praise of São Pedro, counts on artists of national reputation, amusement park and gastronomic structure, attracting visitors from all over the region.
TRIDUO IN PRAISE TO SÃO JOSÉ
The religious event usually happens in the middle of the month of March, counting on several celebrations, besides music festival, food square and amusement park.

The boat rides along the majestic Parana River are an attraction apart, with breathtaking scenery!

HOW TO ARRIVE
São Pedro do Paraná is 600 km from Curitiba, 170 km from Maringá, and 140 km from Umuarama. The main accesses to the city are by BR-376, PR-218, PR-577, PR-691, or by ferry crossing to the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.

GASTRONOMY
The gastronomy is also a great attraction of this region, with a very varied menu in restaurants and snack bars. The dishes based on fish have been gaining prominence among visitors and will fill your eyes, leaving that taste to want more. Pintado is the favorite and most consumed fish.
