THE PARADISE AWAITS YOU!
One of the most beautiful natural beauties of Paraná is in Sengés, which has become a reference in national and state tourism. Located in the northwest region of the state, 270 km from Curitiba and 362 km from the state capital, the municipality has 20 thousand inhabitants distributed in rural and urban areas.
The name Sangés is a tribute to the engineer Gastão Sengés, responsible for the construction of the section of the railway that cut the city.
With a past full of history, the first inhabitants arrived around 1883, attracted by the soil and natural riches. In 1930, the city also became passage for Revolution fighters of 30, who stayed for many days using the farms for concentration and church as "hospital" for soldiers.
With the economy strongly directed to the wood sector, Sengés is a reference in the sector and considered the "Capital of Madeira". It is a destination of innumerable natural beauties, of rustic and peaceful refuge, as well as adventure attractions such as rappelling in the waterfalls.

FUN AND LEISURE
In addition to the natural beauty, Sengés has places of leisure for tourists, such as the Leisure Center Belo Vista, which has space and service planned for visitors. There are cottages, swimming pool, horse riding, among other options.
WATERFALLS
The municipality has about 23 tourist spots with more than 60 waterfalls distributed in several points. Access to these main points are by main roads of the countryside, facilitating the arrival and visitation of tourists. It is advisable the presence of a tourist guide in these visits, for better location and safety of the tourists.

The municipality rescues, more and more, the tradition of cultural and religious events. The Queen's Choice Ball, Festa do Peão, Festival de Quadrinha , Civic Parades, Feast in Praise of St. Sebastian - patron of the city, are part of the annual festive calendar.

Sengés promotes events geared towards tourism that make the municipality more visible. An example of this is the Trilhão (motorcycles) and Cyclotourism, which in recent years have attracted a large number of tourists besides the modalities.

A true spectacle of nature. With a fall of approximately 15 meters in height, it is a must stop for anyone visiting the city. It is a place that conveys peace and tranquility, great for walking, refreshing in the crystal clear waters and glimpse the extraordinary landscape. The signage with announcement facilitates the arrival at the place.
Waterfall of the Sweet Grass
A beautiful fall of about 50 meters in height. Underneath it is a small grotto. It is a place that also has a natural beach. It is not difficult to arrive, however, if you do not know the region, it is good to hire a guide.
Brechão das Andorinhas
In the sandstone wall around the Itararé River, which divides the Paraná of São Paulo, it is possible to contemplate a beautiful landscape. On the one hand, the calm, on the other, the agitation of the waters of the river. From there leave hundreds of swallows from their nests, forming a beautiful view of nature. The return of the birds at dusk is another spectacle.
HOW TO ARRIVE
Being on the border with São Paulo, it is possible to arrive in Sengés through the highways PR-151 (direction Jaguariaíva) and the PR-239.

GASTRONOMY
The traditional dish of Sangés is the rice with chicken, originating in the tropeirismo. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, frango caipira was the most consumed food during the transportation of cattle and wealth from the South to the Brazilian Southwest.
