Umuarama
CAPITAL OF FRIENDSHIP
With 110 thousand inhabitants, Umuarama is known for its receptivity and the warmth with which it welcomes visitors from other regions and even from abroad. The tropical climate is pleasant and makes the city a great place to live. The city attracts looks from major investors and is among the 100 best to invest in Brazil, according to Exame magazine.
The people, hard-working and determined, move the local and regional economy through agriculture, livestock, furniture industry and strong and diversified trade. Umuarama is also a health center with several clinics and five large hospitals, among them the Uopeccan Regional Hospital, one of the largest in the state in the treatment of cancer, which arrives to attend more than 900 patients per day.

KNOW THE CITY PARKS
Urban planning, afforestation - more than 150,000 trees and two large urban forests, the Uirapuru Grove and the Xetá's Grove , plus two lakes and private reserves -, wide streets and avenues, as well as flower beds and squares flowered and well cared for, enchant the visitors. Despite the well developed and upright center, the city still holds the tenderness of the quiet indoor climate.
KNOW THE REPLICA OF THE EIFFEL TOWER
The replica of the Eiffel Tower sits on the shores of PR-323 in Umuarama. The monument is 10% of the original size. To get to the top, there are 160 steps. Visitation is free.

Xetá's City Park
The forest is located in the center of the city, with an area of 179,868 m². It has paved trails of 2,300 m, with bridge crossing, ATI - Academy of the Third Age - and memorial in homage to the Xetá Indians. Currently, the Secretariat of the Environment is installed in the forest.
HOW TO ARRIVE
Leaving Curitiba, you can get to the city by BR-376 and BR-487. There are 554 km of travel. By car, the time is around 7 hours and by bus, about 10 hours.

GASTRONOMY
The chicken in the tile is the typical official dish of the municipality since 2011, instituted by Municipal Law 3.771.
The traditional gastronomic celebration, inspired by the delicious typical dish of the Capital of Friendship, gained state renown and is included in the official calendar of Paraná Turismo and Embratur. The party, in 2018, reached the seventh edition.
